We visited as part of an organised pilgrimage to see this special spot, have a short service and walk down to the waters edge. A very moving location.

The church is simple but really pretty with beautiful mosiacs. It wasn't crowded at all while we were there. Its on the Shores of Galilee and represents where Jesus fed the 5,000 with two fish and five loaves of bread. There is a sign just...More

Enjoyed this stop tremendously. You should probably reread the story of multiplication before you come. I had forgotten but our guide played an audio version in the car and it made it much better.

Of the many churches offered on our bus tour, this one had floor mosaics which emphasized the age (of the floor). Meh for everything else, except the baptistry carved out of solid rock hiding out of view of most tourists (left-hand side of path behind...More

Here Jesus turned water into wine and fed the masses who came to hear him teach. Located off the banks of the Galilee it is a lovely site to contemplate and worship.

Located in Tabgha, on the northwesterly shore of the Sea of Galilee, this is the place where Jesus fed five thousand people with only 2 fish and 5 breads.

Very intricate architecture of the church. Very quiet place for prayer. Our experience visiting this church is good. We made a ton of friends along the way as we continue our pilgrimage.

What a lovely idea! The money can be converted. I wouldn't know where to send it. I would research it online to be sure it gets into the right hands.
