Wow what a start to my 1st week and first turns in that famous Japanese powder and it did not disappoint!!! Great ski field with some great backcourt easily accessible from the lift system.

Let's first make a clear Moiwa is small in comparison to most ski resorts. So, the number of visitors, we counted 12 cars in the parking lot, so it is very much the feeling of a private resort. The terrain at Moiwa may be short with...More

Did the best powder skiing ever at this very small resort area. Not many lifts but heaps of powder snow. be prepared for powder skiing and for isolated runs. this is Nisekos best kept secret so dot tell any one. !

It does not take more than three lifts, tons of snow to have fun. A lot of great runs through forests and the variation is nice.

It's a great little ski hill with enough variety to cater to beginners up (as mush as beginners can enjoy skiing in Hokkaido). The lifted side country is interesting and stands up to a fairly high degree of traffic. The in-resort areas range from empty...More

They say that when the crowds at Niseko get too much go round to Moiwa for a day. We did just that and what a great little ski field it is. Moiwa is a smaller mountain on the side of Niseko, just next to Annupuri....More

Not really part of Niseko this small ski resort offers amazing, non-crowded skiing. We literarily had the resort (and powder) to our selves for a whole day. Verticals not so impressive but hey, with no people you can chew Japow until you choke.

I love this place because I always enjoy the music they play as I ride the lifts. Great skiing too! Locals love Moiwa and so do I.

Great place to visit when Niseko is too busy. Only 3 Lifts, but the quad chairlift offers more than enough options for at least a day. Even more so when there is fresh powder.
