We always like to see Art's house every time we are in Cambria. Back in the 70s when he invited us up to his kitchen we listen as he would tell great stories of his life. Growing up in construction it was awesome to see...More

Mike, the owner, gave us a tour today and it was really excellent. What an interesting and touching place. The original owner built this place out of junk he collected, and turned this into the biggest folk-art piece here in Cambria. This is entirely kept...More

A must if you ever visit Cambria! A stunning demonstration of what can be accomplished by people with way too much time on their hands.

Disappointing for my family and I. The publicity makes it sound rather better than it is, but an abandoned toilet and scrap tyres lying around do not make a good tourist attraction, at least not for me. The place is sealed off by a large,...More

If you're going to be in Cambria for a few days it's a must to visit this place if you like the weird/obscure/quirky. It's a quick tour and it's definitely something you'll never see again. Which is enough of an allure for me. Call ahead...More

Folksy at it's folksiest. Fun little stop to get your mind wondering, is it genius, madness, or both?

We decided to tour Hearst Castle and Nitt Witt Ridge in the day.. talk about a dichotomy! It was really interesting to see how two very different men just wanted to create something themselves. Our tour guide, Mike, met us at the entrance to Nitt...More

is it possible to pre-book a tour by email (rather than phoning an international number from the UK)? Or even on Trip Advisor? Staying in Cambria for one night and would like to fit this tour in at 10am (is that the first tour each day?) before we leave the area. Thanks....

Sorry, we arrived unannounced and it was closed. Shame. We would have liked to have done the tour.
