Grab a drink or bottle of wine and make your way to the Landing about 8:00 pm. The fireball is still firmly in the sky but in the next 30 minutes it falls out of the sky making sunset unforgettable. Dress warmly because the temperature...More

The Landing is at the end of Moonstone Beach boardwalk and has some nice ocean views, but the boardwalk itself and the terrific Fiscalini Ranch Preserve have more extensive ocean scenery. There are some picnic tables, and we took a pathway that again wasn't much...More

One of the most relaxing, gorgeous, serene, extremely beautiful places in California. I also enjoyed Morro Bay, Half Moon Bay and the Bay area. I have lived in California for many, many, many years and have worked in San Luis as well. perfection :)

Peaceful and room to explore. The tidepools were a blast and the area was surprisingly clean considering how many people were visiting.

Picnic area available. Kids had a lot of fun. I don't think it's good for very young kids as you do have to go on different rocks.

HI Catherine! My son and future daughter-in-law are considering Leffingwell Landing, and it IS a beautiful spot. Glad you had a great experience. Who did you contact about using the park -- was it some local State Park office, or someone else? And what part of the park exactly did you use -- the south section to the south, right along the water is a big grassy area that looks best. Is that what you used? Thanks, H
