Go during low tide. It's wonderful. Difficult to find, you need to park in the parking lot and down the stairs on the north side. Saw lots of crabs, sea anenomes, muscles, hermit crabs and even a starfish!

Leffingwell is a great spot to stop and have a picnic on the beach or at one of the tables nestled in the trees. It's a great spot for wildlife watching and if you want to feed the gulls. If you want something a little...More

While Leffingwell Landing by itself may not be worth a stop (unless you're looking for a picnic table), it is at the end of a charming boardwalk between Moonstone Beach and a street of small hotels. The walk is a very calming place to watch...More

The sea washed, climbable rocks rocks here are a thrill to climb. The rocks give way to the beach itself but climbing on these slippery boulders is a blast in and of itself. Wear appropriate shoes and be careful not to slip. There is also...More

We didn't have the luxury of spending much time at Leffingwell Landing but we saw many people who did. People were grilling, watching the spectacular southern view down the coast, and having fun with family. We didn't got down to the far end of the...More

This is a great little park on the north side of Moonstone Beach. The views are awesome and the grounds have many gorgeous trees. Well worth the short walk from the hotels on Moonstone Beach.

My favorite place in Cal. is the Central Coast. Cambria has all you need for a great stay. Good restaurants, bars, shopping and a coastal view to die for. I go several times a year.

Overlooking Leffingwell Cove & the grand Pacific...enjoy relaxation among the cypress. Wonderful walking on the bluffs thru the trees - and/or south along Moonstone Beach. A must stop when in Cambria!

Serenity is a word that comes to mind when walking in Cambria. Moonstone Beach is pretty much paradise. You walk the boardwalk which is truly a boardwalk and then get to the landing. It’s pretty much one and the same thing but just know it...More

Pretty views with a staircase that leads down to several rocky tide pools with lots of sea anemone's, sea urchins, crabs and small fish.

Grab a drink or bottle of wine and make your way to the Landing about 8:00 pm. The fireball is still firmly in the sky but in the next 30 minutes it falls out of the sky making sunset unforgettable. Dress warmly because the temperature...More
