There are not many iconic roadside tractions left to visit, but the dinosaurs are definitely one not to be missed. They are located adjacent to interstate 10 just west of Palm Springs, easy to get to, less than one minute off the freeway. If you...More

Stopping by here feels like you've stepped back into the 1950s or 1960s. It's a little kitchy and dated, but that won't matter to kids. They'll love this place and won't want to leave. There are many great dinosaur replicas here, some big enough to...More

Just pop off the highway and have your picture taken with the massive dinosaurs. Free and a good way to break your journey.

The first dinosaur here was the Apatosaurus , it was built by Claude Bell who was a sculpture for Knott's Berry Farm. Claude owned a cafe here and built the dinosaur to bring in customers. He started construction in 1964 and completed it 11 years...More

If you have children that are crazy about dinosaurs they will love it! They truly are life sized! I have to admit I only stopped for the penny press which wasn't there but they had prepressed pennies to sell for $1.00. Nice Dino themed gift...More

The dinosaurs are even bigger than you think (and, scientifically, larger than the actual dinosaurs were). It's a surreal and fun place. We didn't pay the entrance fee to see the stuff behind the fence, but we got great pictures of the bronto and t-rex....More

We stopped off here en route to Palm Springs as we were literally driving right by. It’s an odd quirky roadside attraction, giant dinosaurs in the middle of the desert! It’s free though! If you have kids or an interest in quirky roadside things it...More

Our girls LOVE stopping at the Dinosaurs on our way to Palm Springs, every year. I know it might be corny but it's only a matter of time before they don't care about it anymore. The Dinosaurs have a new fresh coat of paint and...More

Hi, is there still a creationist museum on site or did that close? I don't mean to be political in any way, but I really don't want to support the spread of misinformation, and b/c the price of admission seems a bit steep for what it is (going by these reviews), if it's still pushing the creationist angle I would definitely not want to pay. Thanks so much for your help.

I did not go into the 'museum' part of the exhibit. We took pictures around Dinny the Dinosaur and Mr. Rex, outside of the area. That is free and open to the public. It is a short visit unless you are being creative with... More
