Busy even on a Monday!
Aug. 2021 • Family
2021-Aug.

We arrived around 10:15 am on a Monday morning. Lots of parking but a little walk to the entrance.

They check all bags and they have metal sensors.

They do allow outside snack food.

We have printed so we went straight to the entrance. They didnt give hard copy of the park map. They have lockers for rent, payable through a machine.

Plenty of shower stalls and changing stalls. No shower amenities are provided though.

The park was busy even on a Monday morning. Lines were 1 hour long on the slides, tube slides, etc. Some kids (and an adult with a kid) cut lines... really discouraging.

Kids play area, lazy river, and wave pool are cool. The water temperature was refreshing as it was really hot the day we were there.

We moved around and we saw few loungers available.

There were dining places open when we were there.

Family fun, great price

We always enjoy going to Knott's. This was our first trip back since all the unpleasantness. They made some changes since we last visited, but overall it was a great weekend. The food we ate was delicious. I do miss the shows, but know they will be back soon, as will we.

Not worth your time anymore
May 2021
I have taken my daughter here every summer since she was about 5. Seems like each year it gets worse and worse. The last time we were there you have to stand in line for like and hour JUST to get an inner tube, then have to stand in another line to ride the ride, then you HAVE to give up the inner tube to someone else even if you want to go again!! What kind of crap is that?? The only way you can really get your money worth is to rent a tube all day so I think that is their point. The waves weren't on all the time in the wave pool so that really sucked! I have never had a problem with parking and I understand why they have to search your stuff now. I loved all my memories but probably won't be going back anymore. Raging Waters sucks too with all the bees around and the water is extremely dirty... I guess its the beach for us from now on. The last time I was there was 2019, but that wasn't an option. I just hope after COVID things got a little better and they hire better and more "nicier" people.

We went as a family of four and booked a cabana.

Queues - we went mid august and the queues/lines were not that bad at all. Only the ride were all four if us were in an inflatable had the queues, but that was more down to the slowness of people exiting the pool at the bottom of the ride than anything else!

Cabana - expensive, but worth it for the shade, the table and seats and the locker / safe. The table service was good with regular cold water being provided.

Food - expensive and ok, rather than good.

Rides - all are excellent and we enjoyed them all. Ideal park for all ages.

The park is easy to get to (10/15mins drive from Disneyland) and very clean and well staffed.

Worth a visit.

Soak city is dirty! The changing rooms are hot and grimy. At least one of the slide staircase has bird poop all over it. From a health point of view it’s pretty gross. We had a season pass this year but won’t be getting one for 2020

Season Pass holder
Aug. 2019 • Family
We live local and purchased a season pass. We love everything about it. The lines are long so I suggest getting there right when it opens if you want to go on rides and go during the week if possible. The weekends get pretty crowded. We spent most of our time in the lazy river and the wave pool. My kids are young so the enjoy the splash pad and the kids pool. Seating is next to impossible to find, but they have grassy areas were you can set down a blanket and bring an umbrella. Most kids around here go back to school mid August so if you are from out of town I'm guessing it wouldn't be as busy at the end of August.

Very good - but why the rules on goggles and swim shoes??
Aug. 2019
Thoroughly enjoyed our day at Knott's Soak City ... the slides are superb. The park is organised well. We had no problem finding sunbeds, even without "setting up camp". The locker system worked well. Plenty of food/beverage outlets and a swim shop.

A wonderful day in the California sunshine.

HOWEVER

I was not able to participate on several slides because I was told I couldn't wear my goggles. I wear contact lenses which I don't want to lose.

Also, my optician strongly advises I should protect my eyes when participating in any water activities because of the risk of microscopic bacteria/germs etc that can lodge behind lenses, causing infections that can lead to blindness (having experienced a corneal ulcer once before, I absolutely don't want to risk this again).

I understand that the park would not have allowed me to wear spectacles on these rides either (I assume that the concern is regarding "hard" objects perhaps causing injury to the rider, or damage to the slide? To cover the first risk, surely the park could include a warning on these slides, alongside all the other warnings? If the concern is risking damage to the slide, then why were many youngsters with mouths full of metallic braces allowed to ride, but plastic goggles are not allowed? Perhaps there is a good reason I've missed ...

We were also told to remove our water shoes for several slides (which are soft/flexible), but allowed to wear them on others. Again ... why? It was a pain to keep taking them off and putting them back on but the pathways between the slides were VERY hot in the sunshine ... without the shoes our feet felt like they were burning? As with any activity in bare feet, there is a risk of picking up a verucca... so for this reason I would also have preferred to keep my water shoes on.

So, I've knocked off one star. Still - a great park.

So we went around when it opened. The process through security was a struggle and very frustrating. They were inconsistent with was they were allowing in the park. We brought sandwiches and snacks in a cooler. The first bag check we were told we couldn't bring in the sandwiches (just the sandwiches inside one large ziplock bag) because it accumulates too much trash. We passed the first check point when Damion the security guard stopped us and told us we couldn't bring in the ice chest he also said he was very strict on rules and would not budge. So we exited the search area and returned to witness the same person who told us we couldn't bring in the sandwiches allowing someone else to bring in the same type of sandwich packaging except made them remove the foil. We were shocked! The second person who searched our bags allowed the sandwiches inside the park. The searches were very inconsistent. Staff were rude about the situation also.

Once we were inside it was very enjoyable. We set up our chairs we brought on the grass area and parked there for the day. Some rides had lines but for the most part they went fairly quickly. Water was comfortable, and park was clean.

There were not enough larger ring floaties for the lazy river. They are color coordinated so there were a ton of "yellow" rings which were the kid size ones. Kids were wild and crazy in the wild river swimming splashing although staff was strict with the younger kids wearing life jackets before entering.

Staff were not friendly but just seemed to be there. I understand it was hot and busy but smiling of some sorts would be nice.

The lifeguards were all visible and present at every ride / attraction. It was very obvious they were scanning the pools. A lot of them were just doing the neck motions which made me laugh because it was more of a dance and exaggeration.

Overall it was a fun and hot day!

We arrived today. Took over an hour to park - everything was full. Parking cost $20 - then had a 40 minute walk. No food allowed in unless small snack size. They make you bin it. Customer relations do not help at all. Staff rude. Place so packed you can not do anything - no where to sit. Limited shade, so unbearable. Pool water not clean, and so packed you could not move. Slides queues are unbelievably long. Really is not worth going. Go to a beach - which has $10 parking and plenty of space.
