Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Six years ago we were here and loved it, but the children were too small (light) for the zip lining. We made a special detour from our Bulgarian holiday to come back here.
It was a nightmare!! Last time we had the park to ourselves, this time the waiting time to scale the ladders was over an hour, it was hideous. Avoid the weekends and come early in the morning.
Eventually we decided to just do the zip lining but be aware - it is one adult per minor, and everyone needs to have ID. I didn't have anything, so one of my children had to miss out. So the family members who zip lined had a wonderful, time but I was very disappointed my other child missed out. I had spend two days looking for a website or FB page, but there is zero information easily accessible. Otherwise we would have known to bring ID before starting the hour long hike to the zip line center.

We followed a stream through beautiful forested area with the Autumn leaves colourfully glowing in the sunlight. We started early so the only sound was the stream tumbling over rocks. There were a number of small waterfalls, lots of bridges to cross, some where just logs as the track wended its way up. Good shoes are essential as the track we followed had large tree roots, loose stones some of which were quite high and water running across the track. It took about an hour to reach the ladders the longest of which is about 15 vertical meters right next to the waterfall. The views were magnificent as we climbed higher before eventually wending our way back. It was a most rewarding experience. We had chosen the best time as it was becoming busy and noisy.

The place is gorgeous for hiking! Still, be careful if you want to use zipline - it is not safe by any conventional means. Specially, the section 29 to 30 is so low above the walking path that you can hit a passerby when riding - precisely what happened to me, I hit a person in their head and had no opportunity to come down and help them because the section stops on a tree with no ladder and you should continue riding to very to the ground further ahead. I reported the incident to the staff but they only laughed saying they are aware that 29 to 30 is notorious. I wonder why nothing is done since they know it is not safe?
Overall be prepared that you won't be given much safety instructions at the start and you might get hurt when stopping after each section: finishing is rough and is definitely much more simplistic then, say, in suchlike ziplines in Spain where the speed is the same (the informational stand here said it can get up to 40 km/h sometimes).
It would have been a wonderful long and picturesque zipline if safety was taken seriously there.

Had a great experience visiting the Seven Staircases. Long walk from parking lot to buy ticket to canyon and ladders. Lots of people but all having fun.
It’s a good hike but worth it.
Don’t rush , enjoy the beauty and take your time.
We laughed, we took pictures, had a little lunch and a great day.
Enjoy

We arrived on Sunday noon, hoping to climb the ladders and do the zip lines.
As we could hardly get any information about the place we took the chance and went there.
It is about an hour walk uphill to the ticket booth, from there 5 minutes to the canyon, and 50 minutes walk in the canyon, plus an hour walk back.
It turns out that the zip lines were not open because of the weather, so it was a great disappointment.
The place is usually open every day on May-October and just on weekends on October-May.
Entrance to the canyon is 10 leu for an adult and 5 for a child. Going down using the zip lines is 50 leu per person (limitations on minimum age and minimum weight apply).

This is a very beautiful hike. These are some tips that we would have appreciated before going:
Shoes: we had sneakers/joggers with lots of grip. Nothing less than this is appropriate
How strenuous: depends on which trail. For reference, I went with friends in their late 20s of average fitness, one of whom had a knee injury. There are three paths - yellow, red and blue. Yellow and red go to the same place, Csurko, a peak at 1635m, and you can continue from here or go back down. We walked up red and down yellow, which was free of charge. Red was uphill but not rocky and we saw mountain bike riders and a couple of young teenagers with parents on this trail. Yellow was very rocky and slippery due to recent rain and was a challenge up or down - we agreed that going up would likely have been harder than down. There were children on this path, as well as much older folk with climbing poles which would be very useful. Blue apparently requires some rock climbing and is very challenging
How to get to the Seven Ladders: take the yellow trail. We walked past it on the way down the yellow trail but did not go through
How busy: in August, very. We took the red trail in order to avoid the large groups of people which meant we missed the seven ladders but the trail was mostly empty. The yellow trail is busier, and even more so from the carpark to the canyon. Most people appear to only go as far as the canyon and then turn back
How to get there: we got an uber there and back which was quite affordable, maybe 35 lei total, which between 4 people is only 1 lei more than the bus
Rubbish: there are very few bins/trash cans throughout the path, so please plan accordingly. The only recepticals I saw were around the seated area at the beginning of the canyon. There is so much litter on the yellow trail it's quite disgusting, so please take a bag with you to store your rubbish until you can dispose of it appropriately
Food: at the peak of Csurko, there is a restaurant serving beer and soup. Strongly recommend bringing your own food and enough water
How long: overall our hike including travel took approximately 8 hours

I visited not really knowing what to expect but it was pretty incredible! Took me just under 2 hours roundtrip, I was moving at a good pace. Would definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area! (sidenote: as with most things, the photos do it no justice!)

This waterfall hike was the best part of my trip. We hiked into the forst then climbed a ladder to get into the gorge. Tho yhe waterfalls were not huge, they were amazing. The climbing was steep in spots. I loved every moment.

Please don't change this place.
If possible try for off peak times - avoid weekends, bank holidays etc
You start off with a leisurely walk, passing som shepherds with their dogs guarding the sheep from wolves or bears. The walk rises along the side of a river till you come to a cabin where you pay for entry ( very low cost). Astounding scenery.
Arrive at the ladders ! (Would be disappointing to find the gate closed - not sure how you can check!)
The ladders and platforms are well constructed but safety is your own concern (as it should be). No harness or hats just climbing open ladders - brilliant but take care not for young children. Take your camera - waterfalls etc fantastic.
You can circle back to avoid the ladders ( best if it is at all busy).
The return - walk if you want!
Or, take the sky lines. Hire the helmet, harness and get 5 mins instruction and away you go. An unrivalled experience. A series of sky lines from tree to tree bring you sweeping down over tree tops , above the river till you get down. Breath taking.
Not to be missed!

You have to go and visit!! It's a must. The place is amazing and you see things you don't see anywhere else. Quite a distance to walk but that's okay for the view. You better visit in the summer because you have the waterfalls sometimes right near your ladder. Awesome experience.

יש חנייה מסודרת?? האם החנייה גדולה, מספיק גדולה ל10 קראוונים???
תודה לעוזרים
Written 22 October 2018

Is it possible to do this walk by ourselves without going as part of a tour? Are the directions marked clearly?
Written 10 August 2018
Yes you can do it by your selves. There is no tour guide imposed.

Hi, does the zipline open everyday or just on weekend? And the park itself open everyday?
Written 1 August 2018
Don't know about the schedule for sure but I think it's daily for the zip line because is part of the ticket place at the end to enter the 7 stairs. The park is always open

היכן ניתן למצוא זמני פתיחת הפארק בעונה זו? (חודש מרץ)
Written 4 March 2018

Does anyone know what age and weight limitations apply for the zip line going back after the seven ladders? Thanks:)
Written 25 October 2017
I believe the weight limit is 300lbs. I never thought to ask about age limits, since we were a group of six adults.
Written 26 October 2017
Does anyone know what are the opening hours in October? Also, is it open every day?
Written 27 September 2017
If the weather is good, it is open every day until 6 in the evening.
Written 27 September 2017
Hey all. Does anyone know the weight limit for the zipline? Thanks
Written 2 July 2017
Hi as far as we can remember it is 95kg. No weigh in but if heavier you tend to go faster and may have more "crash landings"
Hope this helps
