On the north shore, this center has both maps, museum, guided tours, gift shop and trail heads right from this location. There will be brochures on all big bear activities plus rangers available. Plenty of parking and a giant bear out front to take some pictures with.

Staff was very helpful and provided several maps and directions for trails in area. Advised which trails required parking passes. Nice collection of pelts and native animals.

This is a great attraction for people of all ages. You can hike and see some exhibits. Get out of he house and experience nature. Leave the electronics home unless you’d like to capture some great pics.

Nice discovery center- you can learn a lot by stopping in! Very interesting facts, displays, literature. Careful if you ask about the San Gorgonio pass- girl at the counter kept telling me "it's the wilderness", like I was a child. Lol! We went to the...More
