Neighbourhood: Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.

Shopping shopping shopping

Large variety of flagship luxury shops, which means you’ll find items that are hard to find anywhere else. If you’re a car fanatic, lots of exotic vehicles driving up and down the road. Very pleasant walk, when I visited on a Thursday afternoon it was not very crowded although some boutiques did require a fair amount of wait or appointment as they are one-on-one service only, plan accordingly.

Not so easy to get to from Los Angeles city center.
It is a must if you visit-the "city of Angels".
Many luxury shops and restaurants.

All the high end shopping you could ever want. And the people watching is truly out of this world. SO many women in their 50s with enough work done to look 48. Its great. Check it out!

Beverly Hills for active walking

Window shopping at its finest! Beverly Hills is a great walking town, where the shops and restaurants are the terrain is flat. However if you want some hills and beautiful homes just walk up Wilshire BLVD and turn into a neighborhood! Be sure to have Secure-Heels and Foot Bumpers to walk comfortably and confidently in all your shoes!

Visual delight

This is highest-end shopping in a picturesque environment. For most of us, it means window-shopping and enjoying the scenery rather than actually making purchases. An hour-long stroll through the area is well worth the visual gratification. At 2 Rodeo Drive by-street, there is a fantastic art gallery (Galerie Michael) worth checking out. (Not on parking: it can be had for free for 2 hours at a number of public garages just off Rodeo Drive, but the garage entered from the street itself is not free).

Rodeo Dr, Beverly Hills,CA

Great way for a friend and I to stretch our legs and see the sights. Beverly Hills, Rodeo Dr is a must, iconic shopping area. Whether you just want to window shop or splurge on yourself, it’s worth checking out. Beautifully landscaped and a great location to spy expensive and exotic cars. We did encounter a few unfriendly store employees but we simply gave our business to their neighbors.

After the local TV Stations showed “Pretty Woman” for the zillion time, decided to load up the car and head to Beverly. Hills that is. Over the years, have traveled and explored thousands of different cities around the world. Beverly Hills was not one of them. Figured it was time to add this city to my have been list. Rodeo Drive and shopping are the main attraction for Beverly Hills. Rodeo Drive is a two-mile long street loaded with luxury shops, fashion boutiques, and outstanding dining facilities. If you go to Beverly Hills, you must explore Rodeo Drive. It is the top Beverly Hills attractions. Here you will find stores with names such as Dior, Gucci, Tiffany & Co., and numerous other exceptional shops. The famous Beverly Wilshire Hotel, from the movie “Pretty Woman” with its grand chandelier and lobby floral arrangements is amazing to view. Only thing missing was Vivian and Edward from the movie. Walking up and down Rodeo Drive is a remarkable adventure. There is a multitude of things to do from widow shopping and observing tourist and shoppers. The parade of top end auto on Rodeo Drive is unbelievable. Observed several Rolls Royce, Ferraris, a pale blue Lamborghini, and many other fancy vehicles. Fell in love with the blue Lamborghini. Maybe someday (when I win the Lottery), I will drop in at the House of Bijan, and purchase one. Guess there is no harm in dreaming. The aluminum “Torso” sculpture standing in the middle of the road is the symbol of Rodeo Drive Walk of Style. This street art sculpture is remarkable and a must see. Even if shopping is not your thing, or your wallet say, “no way”, the many things to view along this Drive and its presence in pop culture (“Beverly Hill Cop” and “Pretty Woman”) have made Rodeo Drive one of the most visited streets in the world. Spent 3 hours visiting the Golden Triangle, Rodeo Drive, and 2 Rodeo Drive Plaza. Granted, could not afford to purchase anything, but still an unbelievable experience. Strongly recommend visiting Beverly Hills and enjoy the good life even if it’s just for a few hours.

Just like the Walk of Fame, celebrities and the wealthy do not shop here. If anything, their assistants, or if they do need to run out, it's an incognito pit-stop through the back door. Why people think they will see celebrities, is laughable. Even more so in the last year/year and a half.
There's so many tacky fakers running around and frankly, it's just become worse in the last year. Rented luxury cars are the majority. Scarier and dangerous. People standing in lines at luxury shops blowing their EDD money whilst smoking weed. That's it.
Move along, folks.
