In the Valley Life Sciences Building on the western side of the UC Berkeley campus (not at the intersection of Telegraph and Bancroft, where you can enter the campus), the Museum of Paleontology has many natural history wonders. The area is closed off except for annual Cal Day. Only exhibits in lobby and hallways are accessible for public view. Main attraction is the T Rex which is an impressive sight. Other smaller exhibits are fascinating. Can probably visit in an hour or less. Parking is paid and the campus police do check, even on a Sunday when no... More

The paleontology exhibit is fascinating. They have a T rex skeleton a very fierce looking pre Rhino exhibit and a mammal exhibit which end up with you. Very good display of a domestic cat skeleton to put things into perspective.
