This is the original Peets, and if for no other reason this is a good reason to visit. But, the atmosphere is authentic, with Berkeley locals always hanging out inside and just outside the corner coffee shop, and they are low key and thoughtful types....More

If you aren't familiar with Peet's, start now. this is where Starbucks learned to do it. It was once just the store at Walnut Square, but now it's all over the country. I buy the Italian roast and use a French press.

I have been a Peetnik for almost 40 years. The best roasted , best tasting coffee in Northern California. Mr.Peet got Starbucks started but I still revere him! Don't settle for corporate coffee, drink Peet's.
