Beautiful campus to walk around. First time there. I went to UCLA, so always wanted to see Berkeley. The surrounding community is much better at Berkeley. Westwood next to UCLA has never regained its footing since the 1990's.

You really have to take a tour to get a full picture of campus. If you walk around the outskirts, you see a lot of homeless people, and that's heartbreaking. Once you walk through the middle of campus, though, it's hard not to be impressed.

Berkeley has one of the most beautiful campuses I have visited. If you want a spectacular experience while there, go up to the observation platform of the Campanile Tower, 3rd tallest bell and clock tower in the world, to view the entire Bay area or enjoy a carillon concert performed 3 times daily.

The forested glades are gone. The crowds make the experience miserable. There may be a few weeks around Xmas when the crowds thin out. No parking.

When in the Bay Area, it is always pleasant and interesting to stroll around the campus of UC Berkeley. The grounds are beautiful, the vibe is lively, and its history is significant.

I love visiting my daughter at Berkeley. We always roam the campus, checking out the coffee, the spectacular library, the newly opened Gallery. Love the old buildings with such great architecture, the entrance gate, the beautiful old trees. I wish I was a student there.

Must see for Berkeley trip. Sproul Plaza, clock tower, Sather Gate and the historic architecture mixed with the newer construction. Always some kind of activity. Don't miss Zellerbach, Haas School of Business, Berkeley Law, International House and the new Memorial Stadium.

The campus was easy to get around and filled with tons of history. The parking is not easy but watch for side street. The library, gate, and landscapes are all easy to tour.

The University of California, Berkeley, located in Berkeley, is a beautiful campus with lots of greenery (trees, manicured lawns), a creek running through the property and interesting architecture. It is stellar academic institution in a gorgeous setting. Great place to enjoy a stroll.

Lots of great architecture and gardens on this campus. Lively spots and some very tranquil. Some buildings not so successful, but go and see for yourself. An historic campus.
