Not being a Bakersfield native when moved here as a teenager this park was brand new. Having its visitors change over the years it always offered the same thing. A place of recreation were there is multiple venues big enough for various cultural events.

This park is a great place to hold a party, go for short walks, or hang out during the cooler season, but bicyclists go very fast on bike path, so it is not a place for toddlers. Also, while the lake is beautiful, children should...More

Been here several times and it's always been clean. Nice man-made lake. Love walking in this park. Many places to picnic. Nice during the week. Early morning walks are great here.pretty crowded on the weekends.

This park has a man made lake, with a small stream running through it! Many places near the lake to picnic and children play in the water. Large playground also. Nicer during week days. Crowded on week ends.

Our first and only visit to this park was for an event, and we were pleasantly surprised at how nice it is. The play area has a cushioned base -- safe for kids -- and the river walk is attractive.

A fairly new park with men made lakes and nice walk ways. The shade trees need a couple more years to give you the shade you need on a nice sunny day.

As the name suggest, this is a park that follows the river going thru Bakersfield. In this park are picnic areas, softball diamonds, volleyball courts, and a walk path that follows the river. At one end of the park there is also a cancer survivors...More
