The biggest, the strangest, the longest. Whatever it is, odd tourist destinations abound across the US and this is one you just have to see as you venture across the deserts of the Southwest.

This was a cute little shop with great books on gems and rocks. I also enjoyed the Native American readings as well. They had a very polite staff. Gabby was so nice and welcoming. Definitely a nice pit stop on the way to Las Vegas.

Quick stop on way to Las Vegas. Fun thing to look at while grabbing some gas or food. Stopped and took a photo.

It was reading 108F at 12:30pm - and we claimed the 2 caches - one with a bit of assistance from the helpful and friendly girl in the gift shop. Nice to see a world record breaker. Thanks roadsideamerica dot com .

It may very well be the world's tallest thermometer and it was cute and a nice stop when Bun Boy was there. It was maintained. Sadly, Bun Boy is out of business as is most of Baker, California. And it is sad, it was a...More

Hello! I'm shocked that your review says that the Thermometer is surrounded by weeds. I'm not sure what you saw. We have grass, trees, and concrete on our property. We have a doggie rest area with fresh water, baggies, and a trash can. We have...More

I found this on Roadside America and decided it was a place we needed to stop at. We were not disappointed. While not exciting or awe inspiring it was interesting and visiting the shops was also worth the time. It is also a great place...More

That is the question. I mean, i wouldn't go out of my way to stop here but since it is Accross from Alien Jerky it's a may as well check out. It's a giant thermometer

If you are driving between Los Angeles and Las Vegas you will not miss it. Great place to take a breather, see an interesting temperature measuring device and carry on. We were there when the temperature was 111 F - kinda'hot.

I saw this on a TV program so new the history. Had to stop and see what it was all about. Close to another attraction. Amazing.

We enjoyed seeing this sight, silly as it is. We watched while the temp headed up to 100. We found it kitsch but fun and worth the stop by.
