Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great day out on the lagoon with Capt Fantastic. Was very accomodating when weather did suit our original booking. Snorkling with giant trevally a highlight and lunch delish.

Awesome friendliness. Small. Went where big boats can’t. I left my phone behind and not a problem they suggested going back. I couldn’t believe it. Anyway we luckily found it beforehand. This was the tone of the whole day.
Awesome snorkelling too

This is an exceptional tour the captain had wonderful stories about the people of these lands and events that happened on the islands. Breathtaking beaches and the snorkelling spots were excellent. Best thing about this cruise is only 10 people no crowds we had the islands to ourselves as we were the first there. The bbq lunch was fantastic everyone went back for seconds. Thank you Captain Fantastic

This is a small company who do an excellent, friendly and informative tour of the lagoon. They have timed the visits to key locations to avoid the larger tours, so you'll be able to visit the sand bar, one foot island and honeymoon island in relative privacy. You get to snorkel twice, once before and once after lunch, which is provided and is absolutely fantastic. The snorkelling locations are incredible and at the second location the leftovers of lunch are provided to some rather large trevally, so you'll have some quite exciting company in the water! Would have done the whole thing over again the next day.

Absolutely amazing tour. Great value for money! Picked up and dropped back to our resort. We had a small group of 8 and toured around a few islands, were given information and stories, two snorkelling locations with plenty of time and a delicious buffet lunch. The food was better than any we have had on the island so far!
We would highly recommend this tour. It was the highlight of our trip to Aitutaki!

An absolutely spectacular Day on Aitutaki Lagoon that was totally unique and full of unexpected surprises and delights. So worthwhile!Treat yourself! You will be glad you did.
Shon our Captain was ably assisted by TK.
And Guest relations were overseen by the delightful Lorna.
A highlight for me was planting a coconut tree on an island sandbar that is in the process of creating a new island 🏝️ This felt very special and worthwhile💚The snorkelling spots are amazing and the Giant Trevelly and the Massive Ras and Giant Clams are an experience not to be missed. This is bucket list worthy.Thank yiu to all the Team at Kia Orana Cruises for creating such a special experience for tourists and locals🏝️Meitaki Atupaka

We highly recommend Kia Orana Cruises on Aitutaki. Shaun our skipper was very experienced navigating the lagoon as well as being very knowledgeable about the locations we visited and the wildlife. He clearly was very passionate about his home and it showed. We appreciated the opportunity to plant a coconut on a sand bank to help stabilise it and create a new island. Small boat size meant for a more intimate cruise. A very well put together itinerary - great snorkelling spots, island hops, and a great lunch. Great value for $ too.

I did a lot of researching for lagoon cruises before I came here and ended up picking this one and I am not sorry. This is easily the best day I had on my cook Islands trip. we had Shawn. It looks like the boat could hold 12 people max and we had 10. Shawn is not overly talkative and I mean that in the best way possible. He seems friendly and real and answered your questions. We visited quite a few Motu and had on average 20 to 30 minutes on each one. While not enough to lay out a towel and break out a book. It’s plenty of time to take a good look and take photos. There was a much longer stop at lunchtime. Lunch was not fancy, but it was plenty of food and yummy. after lunch, we had two snorkeling stops, both of which were excellent and we were there for plenty of time to feel like you had a good look. Little bonuses is we also planted a coconut tree, and had time to swim across a little channel and walk down a sandbar.

This was one of the best days of our Cook Islands holiday! The lagoon is absolute paradise and being on a smaller boat meant beating and avoiding the large tour groups. The service and info provided was awesome. Lunch was simple but of so tasty. We loved every moment!

Captain fantastic lived up to his name with his merry cook, captain Cook. Fabulous trip, amazing snorkeling, wonderful lunch and nice to be on a smaller boat that goes where bigger boats can't. Great seeing the giant trevally too! Highly recommend
