All reviews surrounding countryside royal palace worth a visit wine museum day trip entry fee fantastic views well worth the trip great place to visit medieval times rich history high standard nooks and crannies old town restored castle highest tower great castle
This had almost a Game of Thrones or Tolkien feel about it. This Royal Palace of Navarre provides continual surprises from the Throne of the Four winds ( and you can see why when you visit) to the Tower of the Three Crowns. The views...More
This is a beautifully restored castle. A beautiful drive from Pamplona (30-40 min) and you see this fairytale castle and it's' just like the one in Disneyland. Better, cuz it's real! Lots of rooms to explore, many picture spots and beautiful views from the turrets....More
With my Spanish wife’s family and had a great half day out here. Amazing place to visit. Great views from the top.
Not much inside but well maintained castle
Best views are from bar in front at the bottom of castle.
An amazing building in itself, with the added bonus of incredible views over the town and surrounding countryside. The entry fee of just 3.50€ is very reasonable. The plan of the palace, in English, was easy to follow and was extremely informative. Lots of stairs...More
If you are in Olite then this is worth a visit for 3.50 euros per person. There are a great many steps, especially if you want to climb up all the towers. The inside is very plain but it is the views that are the...More
This interesting building is devoid of all furnishings which might have given you an idea of what it was when inhabited. Some good views, and definitely worth a visit if you are in Olite, but after a while empty room after empty room seemed repetitive.
We didn't book a tour and therefore walked the palace on our own and enjoyed every minute of it. I would recommend planning about 2 hours this way you can enjoy the views from all the different towers and within. There is... More
We didn't book a tour and therefore walked the palace on our own and enjoyed every minute of it. I would recommend planning about 2 hours this way you can enjoy the views from all the different towers and within. There is one room that has pictures and descriptions of the ruins when they were rediscovered and how they restored to the way it is today. I agree, stay at the Parador next door, it adds to the entire experience. If possible, reserve a room in the original part of the Parador. Olite is a lovely little town where you can enjoy the Tapas in one of the restaurants in the "center." Enjoy, Olite and the Palace are special and worth a visit.
