If have a car you can go all day of your vaction to another dream beach in Plakias; on the depths of the turquoise water there is plenty of glamour fishs; nice ambiance, just simply relax.

Skinaria Beach is worth a visit to get away from the tourists be it for a swim or simply watch the magnificent sunset. When the wind comes up it can get choppy as does all Plakias beaches.

A small taverna laid in a garden setting which is very well cared for. It is bellow the bigger taverna and near the beach. The best stuffed zucchini flowers I have had in Crete.

This is a nice beach, a short and interesting drive from Plakias. The beach tend to be crowded, although not as much as others, and has all the usual establishments, umbrella, chairs, not so good tavernas. The water is clear but it can be choppy with a westerly wind.

We loved this beach!!! We visited in September, always a choice of sun beds! Lovely Garden Tavern for snacks and shade. Perfect spot, great for snorkelling too. The sea does go deep quickly so not so good for little ones! Just a perfect spot, good parking. Great scenic drive to and from the beach.

We've visited 15+ beaches in Western and Southern Crete and this offered by far the best snorkeling experience. Great diversity of fish and lots of them! Very chilled out beach. The road there is narrow but it's a good road. Taverna behind the beach is good for lunch. Very friendly service and excellent fresh fish.

I strongly recommend to visit this place because of its atmosphere, peace and beautiful clear sea. There are some sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach, but you can also lie on the sand and take the rest. There arent too much tourists and too much noise, its very quiet location. What is very important there is plenty of parking space.... More

Really beautiful beach surrounded by cliffs. Visited this beach for several times late season (late September-early October) this year and earlier years. Perfect water temperature still and not so crowded. Come beefore 10 am and you can select the best place to sit. Family-friendly but the water goes rather quickly deep. The bay is most often protected from big waves.... More

Just had a traditional lunch - stuffed pepper, tomato and zucchini flowers along with saganaki and meatballs - very nice and a bit different to the usual - no menu you just go to the counter and. They tell you what there is. Really nice and the beach is lovely - good for snorkelling. Very peaceful.
