Located very close to the Orchha Fort, this palace was constructed to honour Jahangir, but he was killed before he could pay a visit. You may want to visit the palace along with the fort. It also has nice views of the vicinity.

This is the main atteraction in ORCHHA which is quite big fort and approx. 4 to 5 story architecture. with great view of outside location like river temple city and forest near by. Has very wast history of Before Indepance period. Must visit
Beautifully carved and designed Mahal having the mixed architecture styles of Mughal and Hindu. It was made to welcome Jahangir for one night stay. The rear door opens facing the picturesque Betwa river.
This fort was built by a coward king in the honour of a Mughal Emperor in order to safeguard his own territory from attacks. The architecture is good but the idea behind building this grand palace is just ridiculous. Its just a waste of money....More

This palace was suppose to have been built in the honor of Jehangirs visit to Orchha. Very beautiful architecture a mix of Indian and Islamic style. The four bastions at the four corners with domes are really beautiful.
