Part of the world heritage accredited 'Group of monuments at Hampi', Vithala Temple is an wonderful example of the architectural excellence medival India has reached. Specific mention of the Stone Chariot; truely amazing piece of sculpture !!

This complex is the jewel in the crown of hampi ruins. The Vithala temple is not to be missed. You can hear music from the pillars of the temple which is an amazing experience.

We went to the temple in the end of januari and the rase the entrance fee from 250 to 500 rupi. Dit not go in and went to see other temples. There are enough temples to see in hampi .

Well maintained and protected from the hustle bustle of a typical tourist city/town. But the place can be avoided during summers.

yes local guides are available on nominal charge, if you hire one guide for full day he will take accompany at all sights.
