Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Walked the 2km down during free afternoon section of small group tour, taking a taxi back!!!
Is in a small village of Tibetan houses(I walked through from the back!) and a Temple.
Could not find a toilet, there was supposed to be one outside but could not find it!!
20 rupee entry.
Only opened in 2022.Is very user - friendly layout with clear labelling,in Tibetan and English ,short videos .
Is in two distinct sections..historical and geographical history of Tibet ,royalty, religion. and so on.
The other part, across the hallway ,is" I am Tibetan.", featuring the Diaspora and modern interpretaions.
I did not allow sufficient time.Needs 2/3 hours.

The museum shows the complete history and geography of Tibet and what all the atrocities the citizens went through. Must visit for all those interested in tibetology. Bang in the Dalai Lama temple complex.

Really worthwhile, you can soak in the whole exhibit within 30-40 minutes, or stay longer and watch a documentary related to Tibet's culture and history at 11am or 3pm (the topics vary from day to day; be sure to verify timings when you're there) for a 10 Rs entrance fee.

Definitely stop by at this place on your way to the Dalai Lama temple. Also highly recommend toy watch the documentary. If was an eye opener about how badly China is treating the Tibetian people and almost wiping out their culture. Costs just INR 10.

museum is supposed to present a complete picture of country/ region. Here was only sufferings, problems. I have been to tibet and its a beautiful place, with many tourists visiting every year. There may be things to be happy about then why only project one issue of freedom, in outside country as if there is nothing to life in tibet than political freedom?

The museum gave thorough insights on the tragedies taking place in Tibet. There were helpful banners around that described the sceneries so well and gave factual knowledge of the atrocities. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is planning a visit. We were disappointed that we couldn't see the documentary so be sure that you come when it is playing.

I visited the museum after visiting the temple. There were many beautiful prices to see. Just knowing what it took to get the art from Tibet to dharamasala alone was something, over mountains with the hopes of saving their work to preserve their culture

It was the most beautiful time when I decide to visit this beautiful place. I booked my tour from a very renowned and my favourite Tavel Agency located in Delhi named as Japji Travel. I must say this that they are the excellent service provider in this industry. They have modified, well-maintained luxury tempo travellers which makes our journey easy. I booked my tour with 9 seater luxury tempo traveller for 6 nights / 7 days.

Tibet Museum is a must-see place and it attracts tourists from all over the world. It has been established to preserve, exhibit and educate people about the Tibet. It was established on 30th April 2000 by the 14th Dalai Lama and this ceremony was attended by the 300 volunteers. I must suggest you visit this place with family. I had gone there in winter when I was in the 3rd year of my college. So guys, please take a tour and visit this destination to add some beautiful stories to your life.
