Though enticing for its fine white sand and clear blue surf, there’s no swimming at this beach—at least not for humans. Foxy Beach is strictly reserved for African penguins.

Crazy numbers of penguins. We saw penguins on eggs, baby penguins, penguins wading and swimming in the water. Penguins everywhere! Very much worth a visit if you're driving down the cape. there are boardwalks that take you around to a few vantage points to view the penguins. We went pretty early in the morning, so the crowds weren't too bad.... More

Foxy Beach is where the penguins have displaced humans. 30 years ago it was a quiet, private beach where it was all too easy to get 'dumped' by a wave. Then the penguins came in numbers, SANPARKS appropriated the place and built a horrible office and boardwalks, and now it's full of tourists (which is not a bad thing, of... More

Boulders/Foxy beach did not disappoint! Even on a cold September morning, we saw hundreds and hundreds of these adorable little guys right up close and personal! There is parking, there is a small entrance fee and then you are on your own to walk the boardwalks along this colony of penguins. No need to take 1000 pictures of the first... More

This is a must in Simon's Town . A real treat to see these funny little animals in such large numbers. There are hundreds of penguins and surprisingly very noisy.

We visited Simon Town on a cape tour. See the penguin in a nature setting is so much better than in a cage. The walkway is great for viewing the penguins in bush and the beach. It is very interesting seeing them swim in water and walk along the beach. We love every minute watching the penguins in nature You... More

Just over 30 years ago, two breeding penguin couples set in Simon's Town - now they are estimated to be around 3000. At Foxy Beach there are wooden walking paths which gets you really close to the cuteness, and the 65R entrance fee is totally worth it. It is located in a walking distance from the center of Simon's Town.

The whole of this beach and beyond is festooned with huge numbers of African penguins. Well worth a visit especially if there are kids in the group. Great opportunities for photography - marvellous backdrop of sea/sky on a sunny day. Burgher's walk end tricky for anything on wheels. An hour or so should do it !!

This place is amazing... you get to see penguins face to face, literally! There is a small colony of 2000 penguins to see and they're so fun to watch. What a great place
