Again thanks to Trip Advisor... we had a few hours to spare & following the reviews we checked out the place. The front gate seem to be closed but we drove to another copy & enter from cafe side. There is a small looks like a nothing much hill further up the garden. We decided to climb & wow got... More

If you enjoy colorful and beautiful flowers like me, do visit Ueno Farm, especially if you love gardening. We enjoyed the flowers and how the landscaping of each part of the farm was done up. Spend the afternoon relax in this garden. What amused me most was a rooster who roams freely and we also stopped to enjoy the birds... More

This is a great place to visit if you are a gardener, the flowers are magnificent and whist strolling through the garden you can smell the scented fragrance, there’s a lot of work that goes into this farm and you cannot help but respect their hard efforts. Ueno Farm is the type of place that you could easily spend an... More

It was a cloudy day expecting shower. Anyway we decided to go and there was light shower as we reached the destination. The entrance fee 800 Yen is quite expensive for a small garden as we have been to many larger gardens with free entrance. Despite the fee, we were delighted to see so many species of unique and rare... More

Also called Hokkaido Garden, it is a privately owned English-style garden open to the public for an entrance fee of 800 yen. It's a 15-minute drive from the Asahiyama Zoo. It is along the road but in the midst of vast rice fields. Visiting in the second week of September, some of the flowers were not at their best and... More

This is a small garden that's kind of hidden, but can be found readily using your GPS and their phone number if you have a rental car. There is a small fee for entry, but we felt it was worth it, especially after our disappointment with the botanical gardens in Sapporo. The flowers here are enormous and plentiful. There is... More

A small colorful and peaceful garden with a cafe and tourist shop. Definitely bring your camera. You can stroll around and take pictures then relax on one of the garden chairs. This was another enjoyable stop via The Fun Fun Bus.

Pleasant if fairly small English-style garden with a hill-top viewpoint. Adult entry is ¥500 and the "farm" is accessible via the (¥800) loop bus. Primary schoolers get in free. An annual pass ("garden passport") is ¥700. Worth the price, but not a must-see.
