Mysteries of the Ancients

Unreal. Take a backpack, and a torch. Don't be afraid to go off the beaten path to find the quiet spots of wonder.

Visiting Petra has been a dream of mine... and to finally visit it was incredible experience. We visited the place in the month of February where we had sunshine and snow. We spent a day at Petra and went all the way to the up to the Monastery. We took a guide until the Treasury and then walked our way... More

It's indeed a site to visit before you die. My experience says, do take two full days to appreciate this site built by the Nabateans some 2500 years ago. Do visit the site of Petra city where app 45000 people inhabited that time. It's sine 5 kms away.

Visiting Petra has been a dream of mine for awhile.. and to actually visit it was incredible. We visited in November and had perfect weather. We bought the Jordan Pass with a 2 day Petra entry. I can't imagine only spending one day in Petra as the site is huge. The first day, we were the first ones to enter.... More

if you love adventure, take that indiana jones trip, ask those people taking care of the horses in the entrance, if you just want to see the usual views, take the horse until siq, walk and you will see the Treasury, and walk again and check if you can reach monastery, this is the usual goal when going to this... Petra does not disappoint. It's all I dreamed of, and more. Don't miss the monastery. Take the mule ride back if you don't want to walk. I took the mule up and then walked down so I could have time to digest the scenery and take pictures. It's worth every penny. We were with Jordan Select Tours, and they had... More

Most will rave about how incredible the site at Petra is, and I am no exception. Truly amazing, but don't just stop at the 'Treasury' (that's the building used in Indiana Jones), carry on, and see the rest of this place. There is so much to see beyond the Treasury, and several palaces and tombs that are just as exquisite.... More

This is one of the most spectacular places I've been anywhere. Be sure to walk all the way up to the very top. It's amazing there.
