Petra is stunning. I had a very weird feeling when i was standing in front of the Treasury, something i experienced before at the pyramids of Cairo and the Great Wall of China. You just stand there and can't take your eyes off this beautiful, amazing structure and you feel like you're in a different era. Everybody should visit Petra... More

The Treasury is undoubtedly a site to behold. About a 30 minute walk from the entrance to Petra, be sure to wear comfortable shoes & clothes that can withstand the heat. Go early!!! The site opens at 6:30 & you must go then to avoid the massive crowds & heat of the afternoon. You can take a horse part way... More

The suspense is all part of the magic.... walking for a couple of miles through the Canyon and then you get your first glimpse of The Treasury through a gap in the cliffs... finally, turning the corner to see the full facade of The Treasury. The best time to visit is between 9 and 11 am when it is bathed... More

There is no wonder why the film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade picked this venue for filming. The Treasury is "over the top" in beauty. The opportunity for photography or just standing in amazement while viewing this attraction is unique and rivaled by only the most scenic antiquities in the world.

This is what I came to see the Treasury, we arrived at the right time, just as the sun was coming round to it, if you have a good guide he will be able to time this for you - AND this is on the 1st floor there are building below it!

It is a tomb of at least two kings and misnamed the treasury. It stands at the end of the siq. Various styles of architecture are included.

It's a beautifully made monument, it also has souvenir shop opposite to it , where one can sit and keep looking at the beauty of it while enjoying tea or coffee.

It is very seldom that the experience matches what the pictures say but for sure that is the case with the Treasury. An unbelievable experience. I loved how the rock changed color thoughout the day and its size was incredible. Truly a world wonder

A long walk in through awesome fissures in the sandstone, and then the marvelous Treasury! The size of this edifice is remarkable. Note the indentations in the adjacent sandstone in which platforms were lodged to enable the masons to cut the stone high up. The detail is remarkable - and the exactitude even more so - remember, no correcting big... More
