Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The place is dreamy, you breathe peace and serenity in every corner, it is super comfortable and the rooms have beautiful terraces... I was surprised how close the Queushu lagoon is 5 min from the lodge.
About the service is top notch, super attentive host Charlie and his team super attentive and friendly, waft the super rich and healthy food. I definitely highly recommend it and will return.

The 180km long and 20km wide Cordillera Blanca, or ‘White Range’ is so called because of its numerous perennially ice-capped peaks and glaciers. It is the world’s highest tropical mountain range and has the greatest number of summits over 6000m outside the Himalayas, including Peru’s highest peak, Mount Huascaran (6768m).
The experience of the Cordillera Blanca is one of dramatic mountain panoramas, with countless breathtaking views of towering glaciered white peaks, including the stunning Mount Alpamayo (5947m), Chopicalqui (6354m) and Huandoy (6395m). Add to these wonders pristine glacial lakes in an astonishing variety of colour and size, and deep green valleys rich with exotic tropical plants, and you have one of the most magnificent parts of South America.
The Cordillera Blanca is one of the world's most accessible mountain range. From Huaraz, the town serving as a base for explorations in the 'White Range', it is possible to organise day trips that will allow you to witness the spectacular scenery, as well as longer trekking or mountaineering expeditions. The Cordillera Blanca undoubtedly offers some of the best trekking opportunities in South America, from short, easy hikes of a day or two, to multi-week adventures requiring a good fitness level, and it is also a climber’s paradise offering endless mountain climbing opportunities, from short, non-technical ascents suitable for first time mountaineers to long, highly challenging climbs meant for experienced and physically fit mountaineers.

Some of the most stunningly beautiful scenery in Peru, and relatively unknown among travelers. Plenty of options for trekking, anything from easy day treks to more technical treks that span several days and require a guide. I only spent ten days in the area, based out of Huaraz, could have spent another two weeks and not gotten bored.

We live in Alaska. We've seen a lot of beautiful mountain scenery. However, the Cordillera Blanca is exceptional. In several places, you can see several 6,000 meter peaks at once. Lots of beautiful lakes. Great hiking, including day hikes and longer options like the Santa Cruz trek, which our son did and loved. The roads are bad, but the ride is part of the fun. Not as many tourists as other places in Peru. The eight mile roundtrip hike to Laguna Rajucolta is a lesser known trail in the national park. The day we did it, we were the only ones there. It’s relatively flat, so a good acclimatization option. It’s along a valley with views of glaciers, and several peaks, including the second biggest mountain in the Cordillera Blanca. About an hour and a half ride from Huaraz almond a rough dirt road, but well worth it.

My trek in the Cordillera Blanca was really amazing. Each day, we had such a stunning panorama on the white peaks, mainly over 6000 meters. For a trained people, it s doable without technic difficulties, we had also a guide, a cook, and 2 mules and the organization worked perfectly. I will clearly come back to try new routes. It s like the trekker paradise¡

Fake agency. They charged me for this tour and when I called them to ask for time they will pick me up, they told me that tour does not exist and they DID NOT REFUND ME my money. They are fraudsters and I will sue the tourist police. Don't book anything over them. Thieves.

All the people tells about Peru is Machu Pitchu. Definetly it is MUST place but for me was better Huaraz with its Cordilieras. Calm place, enought space, not crazy turist guides. I liked it and really recommend to people who like mountains.

Adventure Travel Agency Huascaran organised our 10 day trip with base camp to climb some of the peaks surrounding Q. Quilcayhuanca. Paulino organised everything to perfection, the cook he supplied was great an very flexible and the whole trip logistics went like clockwork. I wholeheartedly recommend using this company.

Stunning scenery and a place where you can keep away from hoards of people if you wish unlike many of the other great outdoor playgrounds (Nepal, Alps, etc). Trekked into the Ishinca valley from Pashpa - great views - in order to climb Ishinca and Urus. Go now before all of the snow disappears - its going fast - the top of Urus has no snow now and the glacier on the approach is retreating at a great rate of knots.
