The clock tower is one of the highest in the Balkans.
It was beautifully decorated but we felt uncomfortable looking around as we were being watched by two elderly women who we couldn't decide if they worked there or not! We were also unsure if there was an entry charge.
Its a peaceful place and beautiful in its own right architecturally . Even though its not my religion I found it a worth while trip to see this beautiful place. The gardens are well worth a look too.

A small but beautiful church situated on Pirin street in Bansko. Like most churches there are many religious icons on display and a huge central chandelier. The paintings were al around the church and in the process of being cleaned.
