Korca's Resurrection of Christ Cathedral is situated in its city center. Although it was built in 1995, it was actually rebuilt on the place where an orthodox church once stood before it was destroyed by the Hoxha's brutal regime. Today it is one of the main symbols of the beautiful city of Korca. The interior of the Cathedral is very interesting and inspirational, especially due to an unusual painting frescoes. All in all, if you're in Korca's center, don't miss this place!

The Resurrection of Christ Cathedral of Korçë is the main Albanian Orthodox church in Korçë, Albania. The cathedral was built by the Albanian Orthodox Church in 1995. A previous cathedral in Korçë named after St. George was destroyed by the Communist authorities in 1968.
It is painted in pink, blue and brown. Inside, the modest white interior is dominated by a huge carved wooden iconostasis.

Eve thing in Korça is in walking distance .You can not miss the cathedral .
Like a lot of religious places recently rebuild .
Not a successful mixture of traditional Orthodox Church with a modern touch.
Outside it looks like a big cake. Inside the traditional fresco’s.
Have a look, it does not take long.

Although the Cathedral is only ten years old, it is a jewel that lights up the scenery of this cozy town. The construction is quite interesting with clear elements of orthodox christian church. / Embora a catedral tenha apenas dez anos, é uma jóia que ilumina o cenário desta cidade acolhedora. A construção é bastante interessante com elementos claros da igreja cristã ortodoxa.

It's fabulous to see the Albanian people rediscovering themselves. With this cathedral they are returning to their Christian roots, and it shows in the lavish paintings that cover the interior

The Ngjallja e Krishtit Cathedral is very beautiful with its stunning wall paintings. Also from the outside it’s beauty is visible.

What an amazing site to visit. I was truly surprised and think this Cathedral is a masterpeice. As we were a long way from home and from our regular church, candles were lit for family and friends
