Well preserved and pleasant views over the sea, it is worth making a stop here when in Ancud. As you walk downhill from the street to the front gate, turn right before the main entry up a dirt path for the best views of the...More

San Antonio Fort overlooks the Bay of Ancud. It is a windswept area. Cannons are of course present. The grounds are well manicured, local vendors taking up some of the green grass and walkways. The renovations are good. The most important point, however, is the...More

Another interesting historic fort site. Nice views from this headland near Ancud. Here was a few vendors selling souvenirs and crafts on the path down to the fort.

It's nice for a little walk around. It's not mind-blowing, but we liked it, and it's good for a stroll along the edge of the sea.

As above. A few old cannons and street vendors selling little wooden boats and paintings. I think there were some unofficial tour guides giving ill-informed unsolicited speeches, then asking for money. It is free and only takes 10 minutes to walk around.

The fort is really nice and a short walk away from the center of town. Not too much to see, but very interesting architecture and great views of the ocean. There is a little path that leads down to the beach that you can take....More

Very tiny viewpoint which only took us 10 minutes to explore, but easy to get to so why not! Has a great sea view and possibly you could access a tiny beach.

This fort was really close to where we were staying so we popped in. It is free entry and has a nice view point of the beach.
