Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

On a drive between Puerto Chacabuco and Coyhaiquey along Ruta 240 you will see this pull-off. There is an outdoor altar and statue of the Virgin Mary. It is near a mountain stream and a couple of waterfalls. It can be entered from either direction so it is important to be careful about traffic. This stop is free.

If you climb onto the big logs on the left side of the waterfall, you ll discover a hidden path, almost filled with vegetation that can bring you above the waterfall where you can actually see another hidden waterfall. It's not especially dangerous but you'll get dirty and the slope is slippery. Beware on your way back, take your time cause I stumbled and hurt myself a little bit. If you go there I'd like to have a feedback, you can write to me at michael.bastings@gmail.com

Nice little waterfall (actually - 2 of them!) surrounded with lush vegetation. Very well kept little shrine regularly visited by local people.
Good place to stop and stretch your legs and enjoy clean unspoiled nature.

Its along the road, but around the Carretera Austral there are much nicer waterfalls. Worth a few minute stop but nothing more.

This waterfall is located on the road from Coyhaique to Puerto Chacabuco. There is a double waterfall which is not high but still pretty. On the right side of the waterfall is a shrine to the Virgin Mary with a grotto. It is very cool and has a large cross on the hill. Many people go on the road in front of the waterfall to take pictures but you must be very careful as traffic comes whizzing past on this road which makes it a bit dangerous.
