The beach featured clean white sand and was very well maintained. We went every night to enjoy the lovely sunset. Although we're not early risers, we also heard the sunrise view was spectacular from our hotel (Iberostar Bavaro Grand).

The sea grass/ sea weed/ algae issue is all over the Caribbean. Last year we were in St Martin the north west side of the beaches (Orient Bay, and such) on the island was covered, but where our resort was south end of the island was fine. Belize was covered in it 3 yrs ago. It isn’t a time of year or weather issue. It would be like trying to predict a hurricane for next year. It’s all over just look out the window of the airplane.
Each morning the beach is combed of seaweed. The water was relatively clean of seaweed. We did not see it as a problem and we spend a lot of time at beaches around the world. Hope this helps. Have fun!
