We camped close to mammoth springs over spring break. The park is also at the Arkansas welcome center. There is a great photo op by the spring. There is a train depot museum that was not overly exciting. We did see a lot of animals. The hatchery was closed the day we went. The kids were looking forward to the... More

Pretty place to stop and have lunch. We ate at a local restaurant with a view over the water. We enjoyed our visit. There is a building dedicated to education about the types of fish in the area and a train station museum that is nice. It does not take all day to see everything so it's a good place... More

I visited Mammoth Spring State Park in January, 2017. I was surprised at how small the place was and the fact that the spring was so centrally visible. It was a beautiful place, but I prefer hiking.

Is it hot out? Go sit by the water fall at the dam. The mists will cool you off. In the winter they drain the lake and you can see awesome formation under neath where the springs have created unique foow patterns after millions of years.

We needed a bathroom stop and saw Mammoth Spring Welcome Center. What a pleasant surprise. The staff was friendly and informative. We ended up with a complimentary cup of coffee, a walk across the spillway to the power house to see the old generator and some photos. It was overcast and drizzling or we would have stayed longer. I noticed... More

There isn't the expected roaring gusher of water but it is a very beautiful and unique setting. I found it to be well worth the visit. Friendly people, photo opportunities, nice souvenir and visitor center. Clean restrooms.

My husband and I stopped here on our vacation and were pleasantly surprised at the size and beauty of this park. The water was so blue and cold and the park itself was lovely. Well worth visiting.

The springs are wonderful, it was a. Very pleasant place for a walk and to see all the sights. There were ducks and geese in the pond. There were some great picnic areas. There was even a couple providing music over by the visitors center. All in all, a very relaxing place to visit.
