This beach is a gem of the Dominican Republic!! The water is so gorgeous it is almost unbelievable. The sand does have some rocks, so bring water shoes, but wowzers, talk about stunning!! If you ask me this beach is near perfection. We stayed at...More
The beach was nice with soft sand. There is lots of seaweed and rocks so take water shoes if you have them. While there were lots of vendors on the beach they didn’t harass us. Once we said no they moved on
For some reason there was a lot of seaweed when we where there. Maybe it’s seasonal, but there are a lot of locals trying to sell you junk on the beach which gets annoying after the 400th time. Other than that it’s decent.
We had the chance to meet CHARLIE LA LANGOUSTE!

We went to Parque Enriquillo in Santo Domingo and asked people which bus went to Juan Dolio. A nice local showed us exactly where to stand to catch the bus. We asked the bus driver also (in our limited Spanish) and he confirmed we were on the right bus. It was 80 pesos per person. Then we also knew where to catch the bus in Juan Dolio back to Santo Domingo. Once we got to the beach, we discovered that if you go to a beach bar and buy a cerveza you are more than welcome to sit at one of their umbrella tables on the beach! That was a nice bonus!
