If you’ll visit Samila beach, Songkhla, you must see the prominent symbol of the town which is the bronze mermaid. There’s nothing special about it but for the locals, it means something. I enjoyed the street food right beside the beach.

Touristy, visit only if you are passing by to grab a drink or souvenirs. It is really just a statue of a story.

It’s fun. Coconut Ice Cream is a must try. It’s sweet and cool. My kids like horse riding at beach. 150 thai baht for 1 round at beach. Taking photo at mermaid statue is a must do here. Need to queue.

We saw 2 to 3 horse-owners by the Songkhla beach. They are there from early morning about 9 am to 6 pm.
