Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wat Sunthreekawas, also spelled Wat Suntrikavas and also called Wat Phamai, is right in the center of Mai Sot town in Tak Province.

Unlike the dominant gold and red colors of most Buddhist temples in Mae Sot, the dominant color in Wat Sunthreekawas is white, a symbol of purity.

Color is provided by rich red and gold colored heraldic lions standing guard at the entrance to some of the temples buildings, by mythical beings from Buddhist and Thai folklore, and by the saffron robed monks.

The temple is home to many boy monks, three of whom smiled demurely when I asked to take their photograph.

This temple is well worth a visit if you are in Mae Sot.
