The Mekhong river boat ride which refer "Golden Triangle " MYANMAR - Thailand -Laos. Good to see the edges of three countries, view is good. But for me it is nothing special just shopping at Laos side. We can't see the real Laos life just the shops and Casino (not sure you can go there). Only Thailand side has pagoda... More

You will remember this tour for the rest of your life. It's not often you have a chance to visit three culturally distinct counties in a manner of hours. The tour is fun, interesting and educational all at the same time. I can't wait to come back and do it again!

For those who aren't aware, this is a large island in the middle of the Mekong River at the juncture of Thailand, Miramar, and Laos. A no-man's land that was used for the sale of opium with gold being the currency. To get close, one must hire a boat to go up river and view only from the water. I... More

Bought some cobra whiskey for 250 baht for 350 ml. Long boat cruise was interesting. A great way to break up the afternoon.

It was interesting to be able to see the borders between the Thailand, Laos and Myanmar. For 500 Baht, you can take a short boat trip from Thailand to Laos and back. You need to leave your passport in Thailand, which is a bit unnerving, but the tour group I was with had no problems whatsoever. You get around 30... More

This was our second visit to the Golden Triangle so we did not visit all the sites again. We did take a long tail boat across the river to Laos (500 Bhat) - leave your passport with the boat operator and you get about an hour including the crossing time which gives you about 30 mins in the market in... There is not much to see but i liked the fact of being in 3 countries at the same time. You can take a picture when you're at the boat and you're just between them that's all.

Was great chance to get glimpse of Myanmar and Laos. Took Mekong river boat and docked in Laos to do some inexpensive shopping.
