Just stay keep calm. I like the moment. You can see the beautiful lake and much inspiration would come to u! Having relax.
쉼을 생각하며 머물길 추천, 호수를 보며 시간대마다 각각 다른 엉감이 나에게 다가왔다. 마치 시도 예술도 나에게서 나올것만 같은 정취적인 장소

as you get to the historical building, you would be able to see the scenery of the beautiful lake.I suggest going there at sunrise time to be able to see the take a picture of the dazzling sun reflection in the lake.

A Treasure Sitting on Top of a Hill
Apr. 2018 • Solo
Gyeongpodae Pavilion sits right on top of a small hill overlooking the great and the ever magnificent Gyeongpo Lake. It is best to visit it from March to November as you can see a spectacular spring view during April or a colorful fiery autumn view during October. A must-visit for everyone visiting Korea. Lovely.

Perfect end to a beach day
Jun. 2018 • Couples
We visited Gyeongpodae after a long day in the sun at Gyeongpo Beach. The pavilion itself is very beautiful and the grounds are peaceful and well maintained. We simply sat on one of the raised floors overlooking the lake and enjoyed the breeze. It's a great space with calming energy and a fabulous view. Be sure to include this stop on your trip to Gangneung.

Famous site
Jan. 2017 • Solo
This is probably the most famous site in Gangneung. However, you will not see many tourists especially during the winter! You can enjoy the view of lake.

Excellent Historical Structure
Oct. 2016 • Couples
The structure was built for scholars centuries ago. It has been renovated several times and is very ornately decorated and very beautiful. It has a nice view of the lake and surrounding area.

An interesting building with nice view and a nice park nearby. A good place to relax, take a walk round the park and then to the interesting park.

Beautiful during the Spring season
May 2015
This place is really pretty during the Cherry blossom season. Although it rained when I visited, it was still worth the visit. There wasn't too much walking involved so it's really perfect for families to visit.

Historic site overlooking amazing lake
Feb. 2016 • Solo
There's an expression about Gyeongpodae. You can see the moon reflected five times from the historical pavilion overlooking the lake: once in the lake, once in the ocean, once in your class of wine and twice in your lover's eyes.

Gyeongpo lake and Gyeongpo beach are so close as to almost touch. Walk or bike around a 4.4 km path that wraps around the lake. Depending on the season, check out the lotus blossom festival, the cherry blossom festival or just the beautiful view, complete with statues, wetlands, parks, woods, historical buildings and fitness activities.

A stone throw from the lake, go to the beach for restaurants or coffee shops, or just to lay back in the sand. Crab is a local favorite here. It's not cheap, but it's tasty! There's also a boardwalk that goes all along the beach, and a bicycle path that starts in Busan (way down south!), connects to Gyeongpo Beach and goes further north to Sokcho.

Tip #1: You can stay at Hyusim Pension, right next to Gyeongpodae. It's an impressive traditional Korean building that uses geothermal energy. Tip #2: There's a German coffee shop about five minute's walk behind Gyeongpodae called Judith's Garden (유딭의 정원 in Korean). The owner speaks German, English and Korean. Tip #3: Behind Gyeongpodae there's a nice walking path through the woods.

Nice view ocean street with good restaurants
Aug. 2015 • Family
This famous ocean street has nice view and 2 minutes walk from rail station with large free parking space. Here are many famous cafes and restaurants. I recommend bohemian cafe which has stunning coffee (best coffee I've ever tasted!!! It's baristar is known as the no. 1 in Korea). However, I like Gangmun ocean street(5 minutes by car or you can walk from here) better, less famous and less crowded but also nice view and nice restaurants with large free parking space. Here I recommend Paul and Mary hamburger restaurant(very tasteful and reasonable price but long line, take-out line is much shorter) and Yet Taegwang restaurant(옛 태광 식당 in Korean characters, right building of Paul and Mary) which is the 60 years history Korean restaurant, famous for Uruk Miyuk-guk(Korean famous seeweed soup with boiled fish, 8000 won when I went there this year) which tastes really good and large portion(includes grilled fish, boiled rice, etc). Gangwon-do is the most popular traveling place for Seoul citizens and I (an Seoul citizen) love Gangwon-do and I think Gangreung is the best place of Gangwon-do. I highly recommend Gangreung.
