The island is not far away from Bangsring Beach Banyuwangi about 20 - 30 minutes with boat. You can rent the boat with Rp. 500.000 for 1 round trip. If you have planned for snorkeling you will need guide/safe guard to escort you during the activity and you can rent life jacket & snorkel Rp. 30.000 and fins Rp. 15.000.
The trip will be fun cause you can see Baluran Maunt in the North and Ijen Mount in West. For snorkeling spot the reef are not build well enough since the conservation program just began on 2010, but you can see a lot of fish there.
The island large is about 5 ha, so you can walk around for taking picture on lighthouse or just look a shell. Ohya, there is shop there sell a noodles, snack, soft drink or water and for your information there is no toilet there so you can run the sea or hide in bush.

One thing you have remember please brink your trash from the island.

The trip to the island is very expensive, we were able to bargain for 400 000 Rp. We were expecting a place to chill a bit, relax under the sun. Wrong. At the time of our visit it was garbage all over the island (plastic and glass bottles, flip flops, bags, lamp bulbs, pencils, etc.). We don’t know if they come from the currents or if people just leave their garbage there... the situation is pretty unbelievable... We went to this island because we saw good comments regarding the snorkeling, but we were also disappointed. Most of the corals are dead... However, we saw sea snakes, star fishes and some fishes. Even if we saw beautiful marine life, we won’t recommend this place... do not loose your time and money.

Advice :
- Go explore the island there are many places to view
- Circling the island takes about 30 Minutes
- There are many snorkeling spots to view
- Dive spot are about 500 meter from the beach
- Don't go during stormy weather (Risk of not coming back)

It's really a beautiful place to visit and worth awhile to sea

To reach the island you shud take 15-20 minutes boat transportation from basring village. There is no food stall there that sale drink or food, so make sure you bring your own snack and meals, and DO NOT FORGET to bring your own TRASH, since this island is a remote from anywhere. The white beach is outstanding, but not the coral reef on the shallow, sadly its broken after years of bombing. But the local now try to make rehabilitation of coral, by transplante it.

I am completely confused as how people can call this a destination. The only enjoyable part of the trip is the boat ride out there which is absolutely beautiful. Other than that, it's all trash on the island. There was some blue water and it was decent swimming but the beach is our trash. Most of the beach is right around the city are not worth the visit

This island is only 15 minutes away from Ketapang or 60 minutes from Wonorejo by boat.
It has long white sandy beach with clean water. Unfortunately, because of its geographical location (in the middle of Bali Street) and misbehavior of some visitors, the island is dirty. Some people camp on the island and there isn't any sanitation facility.

This little tiny island has a white sands and clear water. I went by traditional boat, not using a speed boat, from Situbondo not from Banyuwangi according to my main tour to Baluran. It was my side trip. Nice trip, having so many object to see along the way.

Fortunately I and my family arrived in the morning around 06.30 a.m. so the island became ours :). Our main activity there was snorkeling and exploring the island. Unfortunately I didn't have enough time to explore it.

Snorkeling there is quiet nice. May be it's a not the best spot for snorkeling, but quiet nice. The water is clean. If we do it near the beach we can see some fishes, but to have a better view we must swim around 10 meters. Quiet save because the wave of the sea is not strong, but better to use a float for safety.

On the day I visited, the beach itself is not too clean according to the few plants waste, similar with Kuta Beach Bali in the morning when sea water is hide tide. May be because it's an empty island and there is no guard, so there's no person in charge to clean it.

There were two temporary tends who sell food and drinks. Unfortunately it ruin the natural environment of the beach. In my personal opinion better the government ban it because there will be a lot of non-organic waste. I already saw several of it in the beach. So sad :(.

Actually this is a beautiful island. But if the government can't anticipate and manage it seriously from now, I'm worry it will become a dirty island in the future.

When we left the island around 9.00 some boats with many guest arrived. So if you need to go to Tabuhan Island, do it before 8.00 and please bring your own food and garbage bag then bring it back to your place to keep the island clean.

Tabuhan Island is located around 20 min from Menjangan Island by boat. The snorkeling spot in Tabuhan island is not far from the seashore, so you can just lay back at the seashore when you’re tired and go back for snorkeling anytime.

The island is even quieter than Menjangan Island. You’ll definetely feel like you own the island 😁 There’s only one stall selling instant noodle and coconut, which is good because you would want to stay longer in the island as the beach is very clean and your kids would love to play and swim and snorkel.

It took 20 or 25 minutes from Menjangan Island. The view is good, there are gradation color from turquoise to blue.
It used to be a good place to snorkeling but the coral is under maintenance.
But its a good place to visit.
