Chance to see egg laying turtles is worth the arduous journey by 4WD from Rajegwesi village to Sukamade. It took 2 hours to cover 6km and 4 river crossings; each way.

We heard about Sukamade some time ago and decided we have to go there. The weather made our decision easier as the Ijen volcano was not even visible in a thick layer of clouds so it did not make any sense to stay in Banyuwangi....More
