Though it was peak summer we didn't get tired trekking steps to temple situated on the hill top..worth watching. One should admire the difficulty faced while building temple over the hill. We can experience cool breeze on the top and panoramic view of trichy.

It is worth the short climb up- it is not a great religious destination at a national level- but it is very popular and give us a good flavour of the local practices.

Trichy is famous for its railways (Golden Rock area), BHEL and for Rock Fort Temple which is an unique Ganesh Temple on a hillock that can be seen from any part of the city..hard to climb..elders beware and definitely not for heart patients and not a hot day activity..from the top, Trichy's 360 degree view is breathtaking
