Even if you don´t agree with Stalin´s politics, he was, undoubtedly, a great politician and a man that made history, for good and also bad reasons (like many others). Gori is quite visited thanks to the man that was born there, more than a 100...More

We visited this museum as part of an excellent Georgia tour. It's something that's not beautiful or fun, but we should not forget the horrors of our recent past & how a person like Stalin can emerge from an ordinary background

A huge cathedral to Stalin .a contrast to the other cathedrals in Georgia. .Not much written in English. You can get a guide to take you hastily through.see his train and house where he was born .lots about his life ,little about his paranoid savagery.

It is a typical museum, but not much artefacts in it, still I liked it, just to understand bit of Russian style and their version of record keeping (history). However not worth travelling only for this place.

According to our guide, this museum does not glorify Stalin, but only tells the facts about his life. Tragically, all "facts" show him in a positive light and there was no mention of the atrcities he committed during his long reign. Apparently, he is still...More

In my opinion, Gori would be worth only half a day. The Stalin Museum is in fact the only interesting site. Kutaisi would be a better place to stay two nights, because of the World Heritage church and a more interesting city... More
