A must see while you are in Tanzania is the Ngorongoro Crater. It was amazing. We saw an incredible amout of animals, including 9 lions together looking for their dinner! It is a beautiful site and cannot be missed.

Amazing picturesque descent, and ascent into the caldera. Some animals only seen in northern Tanzania here- up to you to spot them! Memorable.

Just an amazing time to see all the animals in their natural habitat, and experience "nature red in tooth and claw". Took many many pictures, will never forget this.

the magic of Ngorongoro is the crater itself. Incredible to see animals, with the stunning rim of the crater as your backdrop.

We came to the crater on the last day of safari and still saw several animals we had not yet seen, (rhino) or in greater numbers (hippos). There is a variety of ecosystems throughout the crater making it home to most of the African animals....More

This place may be tiny but it is jammed packed with animal life. We went on search for Rhinos and we only saw one in a distance but that was okay as we saw everything else! I can believe some people gave this less than...More

Rhinos everywhere :), Elephants overthere. Just kidding, you must be lucky to find some rhinoceros, even from big distance, just few pieces remainded. But amazing place, the whole area is very impressing. And the views and picknick place with attacking birds :)

The crater is stunning, imagining how it was created and to see its vastness was awesome. Also saw lots of animals but nothing compared to what you’d see in Serengeti. I would do this once, but probably not twice unless someone in my party hadn’t...More

Our experience during an all-day game drive with a guide who seemed to have more eyesight was one of our best experiences in all our travels! The Crater is beautiful and quite unique - in its landscape and it is possible to get quite close...More

Definitely worth seeing. There are no Rhino on Serengeti so you may see one in Crater. Very interesting spot about 1-2 hr drive depending on where you are in Serengeti

October is more likely to have rain than September, we had a few minor showers over the ten days in early September. At night we had one or two thunder/heavy rain showers but each day had plenty of sunshine & was very warm... More
