Interesting and tidy, though with a bit more funding it has the potential to be a lovely tourist attraction as this hosts some of the oldest recorded history of South Africa. Very interesting information of the local plants could be made available in book/pamflet form...More

The interesting thing with this museum is that it houses a... real, full scale replica of a16th Century Caravel! You can get on it and.. inside it! Also, you can learn a little bit more about the history of the area and the first Europeans...More

The museum was a great day trip. Beautiful location. There are multiple things to see, from a variety of flora to a shell museum and a replica of the ship Dias was on. Worth the trip

If you are interested in SA and Mossel Bay's history - come here. It is also a good place to bring the kids to understand something about our "roots"

Not very impressive. You walk in to a table full of plants/flowers that are all half dead when they are actually supposed to be a fresh plant display. The exhibits are all needing maintenance done to them, and a severe update to the overall appearance....More

This is a great educational attraction for the family. You can visit the seashell museum as well as see the Diaz museum. You can learn about early voyages to find the route to India.

I have to say the history I was taught in school in the 80's and the way it was taught was so different to what I learned going through the Museum. So I have to say Eye Opening for sure but I am very happy...More
