This trails winds along the Mosselbaai coastline, offering stunning views of the ocean. Starts at the lighthouse, and heads west to Vleersbaai. A bit steep in places, and with uneven ground, but doable for children. Bring water, as there is no place to get any. Also a camera, to capture the view.

Really enjoyed walking the trail from Dana Bay to the Point. Plenty of beautiful views, stunning wildlife to come across and lots of places to stop for a drink and picnic lunch. Only downside was the track not being very well marked around the golf course and having to walk through part of the golf courses when we much preferred... More

This 13.5 km walk I s easy to find, starting at the cave at the base of the lighthouse, is well waymarked and has had stone put underfoot in places. It is, however, necessary to look down for a lot of the way as it is uneven so we may have missed the whales which we were led to believe... More

Unfortunately when we went one morning, it was so misty and extremely cold. The view was obscured, so we couldn't see to much. I loved the Dassies, just hanging round, always watching.

My girlfriend and I did the walk during a windy afternoon. The views were lovely with scenes of waves crashing off the rocks. Be aware that there are no many places to exit the trail once it has started to be prepared to complete the whole thing

If you do the whole trail, I believe it's over 13 km. While I'm sure it's an amazing hike, if you're just looking to get a stunning view of the whole area and of the huge waves crashing into the rocky shore below, a short climb (~400-500 meters) is sufficient. You have to be somewhat fit for this, as you... More

If you take the little path from the car park next to The Point Hotel in Mossel Bay, and then the boardwalk into the cave under the Cape St. Blaize Lighthouse, you’ll find yourself in the company of the ancients – for archeological evidence has shown that this famous but meager overhang was inhabited over a period of about seventy...
