Spent a night in the park on the way through to Addo from Durban. I have previously stayed in Graaf Reniet town itself and the location makes for a good overnight stop from Joburg through to Cape Town or to the Eastern Cape. However some...More

Breath taking views for miles and miles. Undisturbed nature. Far away from noise pollution and the downfall of man. Very clean and safe. This is where I have always went to to find inner peace. For me, I have always seen myself sitting there one...More

We camped in the park with our three toddlers and it was a most enjoyable weekend. Campsite is neat and tidy. Each spot is also situated so that you never feel crowded even though the campsite was full. Only two negatives for fifteen campsites the...More

We used this national park as a one night stop over and were pleasantly surprised. Lakeview tented camp with only 4 tents. Electricity with fridge, fan and kettle. Communal kitchen with cupboard for each tent with crockery, cutlery and mucrowave. Clean and tidy and away...More

We stayed in the Lake View Tented Camp in February 2016 despite reading the terrible review of working_traveller and were very pleasantly surprised. Camdeboo is not a large Kruger-style park. It is small and surrounds the urban Graaff Reinet. Bearing this in mind, the tented...More

It may be one of the smallist Nat. Parks in S.A. but very accessible and varied. The Valley of desolation was quite spectacular while the lakeside section had plenty of game. we went back twice on the same day. Take binoculars and your camera.

The Valley of Desolation is close by along the main road. There is no direct access between the two places, you have to leave one and go to the other, but it is worth it.
