A relatively new reserve. Not very big but most enjoyable and well managed. Lovely picnic area within the park.

We initially planned to camp over here, but limited it to a day visit. The NP is quite new, as is also the campsite (all on gravel), during our visit we took a peek and saw that no one was camping that day. Campsites although...More

Spent 4 nights camping at this lovely park. The campsites are well spaced allowing for just enough privacy and solace. The Valley Of Desolation is well worth a visit and the game viewing an added bonus.

We (couple and a 20 year old daughter) stayed for 2 nights in the tent camp. We enjoyed the 40 degree + heat in mid December 2016 with beautiful sunrises, breakfast made on the gasskottel and sunsets with wood braais in evenings and ice cold...More

We camped for 2 nights in Camdeboo National Park, the camp grounds are nice and neat and clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. There is a wide variety of animals to see but the game viewing area is small and close to fences so...More

We spent the morning at the valley of desolation and then went to the Game Viewing side once it had cooled down as well as watching the sunset over the dam! It was beautiful. We had great sightings of everything including the Bat Eared Foxes!

The tented accommodation is perfect, with everything you could possibly need provided. All you need to bring along is the food, something to get the fire going and you're set for a wonderful time. Just keep an eye on the pesky monkeys who steal anything...More

The Valley of Desolation is close by along the main road. There is no direct access between the two places, you have to leave one and go to the other, but it is worth it.
