What an amazing tented camp, welcomed by helpful and friendly staff, fantastic facilities, surrounded with amazing areas for wildlife, history and loads of photographic opportunities, so much to discover and a wonderful experience.

My review refers to the game viewing area and not the Valley of Desolation. If you're looking to see lots of game and especially big game then the Camdeboo National Park isn't for you. If you enjoy the wide open spaces of the Karoo and...More

We booked an overnight stay as part of a road trip from Gauteng to Cape Town. We would have extended our stay at the Lakeview Tented Camp if we had time. The amenities were clean and the situation of the tent great. The beauty of...More

Tar road up to the main attraction of the Valley of Desolation parking, then a little bit of a walk to the photo area, ensur you have suitable footwear as certain area's are a bit tricky. Toilet handy near the parking also.

We travelled to graaff reinet as part of our Cape road trip. Decided to visit the park not knowing what to expect. It was an amazing experience and I will plan another trip here as the two hours we spent didn't do justice. The Valley...More

Save your time and go to some other park because this one has little to see in a flat terrain. Even the ranger looked embarrassed to be letting us in!

A relatively new reserve. Not very big but most enjoyable and well managed. Lovely picnic area within the park.

We initially planned to camp over here, but limited it to a day visit. The NP is quite new, as is also the campsite (all on gravel), during our visit we took a peek and saw that no one was camping that day. Campsites although...More

Spent 4 nights camping at this lovely park. The campsites are well spaced allowing for just enough privacy and solace. The Valley Of Desolation is well worth a visit and the game viewing an added bonus.

The Valley of Desolation is close by along the main road. There is no direct access between the two places, you have to leave one and go to the other, but it is worth it.
