The scenery was beautiful and the road in an excellent condition. the sights are well marked and we could stop in allloted places to take some pictures.

When you enter the road uphill you will find very big tortoises in the road. Some you need to shift them to pass. On top of the mountain at the view point you got a nice clear view over Graaf-Reinette.

The Valley of Desolation is close by along the main road. There is no direct access between the two places, you have to leave one and go to the other, but it is worth it.
