This was an optional trip for our tour. Only 6 of us took advantage of it. The experience was awesome. The entire group took the boat tour on Lake Naiveté to see many birds, hippos & then we broke off to be dropped off on...More

You have to take a short boat trip to get to this island. Be ready with your binoculars and camera and watch out for the hippos and the cormorants during the boat ride. When you get to the island, someone will provide you with advice...More

Fantastic walk. Got close to animals. Bring camera, good walking shoes. A snack for younger visitors is good. There are trees for shadow but most walking is in the sun. Not so much up/down after first two uphills.

Came here with our family, and spent a full 1 hour walking around the island, watching the wild animals in their own habitat. We found it a pleasure to be able to walk within meters of Giraffe, water bucks, Zebra, Thompson Gazelles, and Fish Eagles...More

$30.00 to go into a place with no more animals than the sanctuary that you go through to get there, and that only charged 300/- to enter. In the immortal word from 'The Castle'... tell 'em they're dreaming.\

My wife and i have been to Crescent Island on several occasions, by ourselves or with visitors. It's always a joy to visit with Mrs Linda before the walk. The "island" offers a good stretch of the legs with the beauty of Yellow Bark Acacia...More

We arrived by road. Yes I would say 2 hours is plenty of time to wander around and I can't answer about the guide as we came with our own guide. Enjoy.
Good Morning, This sounds like a great trip to take during my brief stay in Nairobi. By any chance, did you visit Crescent Island on a day trip from Nairobi? If so, could you tell me the name of the touring company that took you there? Thanks, Bruce

Google "Crescent Island Game Park". They have their prices listed. We had a great hike there, and the photos were 'on foot' vs from a Jeep.
