We made a visit to the Giant Banyan en route between Mount Yasur and the airport. Well worth it - amazing tree - is it the largest in the world, well it depends how you measure. But worth a stop if you love trees!

We were lucky to attend the launch of this tourist attraction with beautiful village dances, a morning tea, and then the visit to the tree. It's size is incredible and worth the visit.

This tour to the giant banyan tree was great this is a must do. You are driven to the tree and then you have to walk about five minutes down to see it it is amazing .

Definitely worth a visit. Stunning views from the village and the tree is something else. Walked for half an hour through it, swung on its roots, climbed, hid, played. Kids loved it. Such a treat to see a natural wonder not trashed by man. Go...More

Stopped in to view the Banyan Tree - was incredible - the kids enjoyed climbing the tree. Was a pretty special visit. So glad it was not ruined by Cyclone Pam as it has obviously been growing for many, many years.

Billed as the largest banyan tree in the world (is there a guiness book entry?), it is indeed really, really big tree. But there are many other really, really big banyan trees throughout Vanuatu. It's a nice tree. But I wouldn't go out of my...More

Despite the advertising, this is not the largest banyan in the world (I believe a forest in India has this claim) but it is still really impressive. Imagine a tree that looks like a spider web and doesn't seem to end. You can climb in...More

The guide swung like Tarzan from a loose aerial root and we each had a turn too. It took about 30 minutes to wander through all the roots of the tree and it was spectacular to experience.
