This cafe is a must for Fish and Chips, accompanied by the most wonderful stories of the area. There is a sea water swimming pool, great snorkeling off the reef, followed by first class Fish and Chips and the best chutney I have ever tasted.

I went with three friends to visit the beach and eat at the Ene'io Botanical Garden restaurant. A fabulous time. The beach pool was so special - we all sat in the crystal clear water and swam for ages. It was a very hot day so the time in the water was heaven. If you can go at high tide.... More

We went with a private tour of 37 people to Haniteli's Gardens The tour was wonderful from beginning to end. Haniteli has such a terrific knowledge of his gardens and the traditional crafts of Tonga. With his gentle sense of humor he guided us through his gardens and demonstrations from his way of life. After the demonstrations we were taken... More

We went to the gardens as part of a shore excursion off a cruise ship they were natural gardens, you were shown around the gardens by the man who planted them a he explained all about the plant etc. They also did a Kava Ceremony and showed how they made there mats etc. Very well done and worth a visit.

After reading about this garden we took a local 'taxi' on the off chance it was open. The owner and staff were expecting a large group and were more than happy to accomodate us. We strolled around the garden and enjoyed a peaceful time; the cultural display and explanations were well worth the trip. The gardens are large and if... More

I visited this Cultural Restaurant three years ago and when we were planning to return for my daughter's wedding on Treasure Island Eueiki Eco Resort Ene'io Cultural Dinner Restaurant was a 'must' to include for our 20 guest travelling to Vava'u. Our visit was fantastic as our Hostess Lucy and her husband were the warmest, friendliest most welcoming people who... More

Thank you for sharing that our place is a great one to visit for a feed and our beach as well. Our Sunday feast on a buffet style is a very popular one, and it’s a place you can eat as much as you can take. We have local and contemporary dishes based on local ingredients, and will never miss... More

Ene'io is one mans dream come to fruition. The tours are guided by Haniteli Fa'anunu who decided that he wanted to create a local Eden when he was just a small boy. He provides an extensive background overview before beginning the tour. Call him a day in advance to organize. A born raconteur you may not get much opportunity to... More

Thank you for such wonderful comments on your experience in visiting the 'Ene'io Botanical Garden. Haniteli turned 70 in August this year, and he is still enjoying living his legacy in creating what you said "a local Eden". So beautifully said, and we are delighted you enjoyed the tour, the laughter and his many stories. A born raconteur as you... More

This was one of the highlights of my trip to Tonga. The garden itself is about as far opposite the traditional botanical gardens (e.g., Kew) as imaginable. It's an eclectic collections of tropical plants from the Pacific. It's the labor of love of a retired botanist/agronomist/government minister Haniteli Fa'anunu. He is a living treasure because of his background (native of... More

How wonderful to get such an amazing and detailed comments of your experience with your visit to the botanical garden at 'Ene'io Beach. It is people like you that gives Haniteli strength to keep up his living dream of creating the only botanical garden for Tonga, and quite agree it is a labor of love.
